ROLLING HILLS & MAGICAL WAVES: North Devon BEGINNER & PROGRESSOR Surf Coaching Trip

North Devon is such a magical place to go surfing, it’s been designated a World Surfing Reserve, one of only two in Europe, on account of its phenomenal nature, historic surf culture, and consistent, high quality waves for all levels of surfer, three of which are in easy reach of our accommodation.

Our Surf Trips are a great chance to start, or deepen if you’ve been before, your love affair with surfing, with a friendly group and a relaxed atmosphere. We know surfing can be off-putting for some people at first, but we put a high price on inclusivity and promise there are no egos here. 

When it comes to surf coaching, we focus on getting the basics right. Breaking down those all-important paddle and pop-up techniques, using video analysis, and looking at your alignment and posture, and chat about wave reading and equipment needs.

We are sure you’ll return home a better and more confident surfer than you were before, whatever level you started at, with improved paddle strength, surf mobility and ocean awareness. And while we hope the surf gods deliver on our trips, we’re based in Brighton so we’re more than used to hunting out and making the best of whatever conditions come our way.

We stay in self-catering apartments at the majestic Pickwell Manor, just minutes from Putsborough Beach, so after we surf we relax while enjoying glorious views of rolling hills and the dramatic coastline. 

Respecting the local area is super important to us on all our trips. We use local suppliers for food and drink, take part in beach cleans, and generally give back to the communities we’re visiting as much as we can.
