FAQs

Where do we meet?

We meet at the Ocean Set beach storage unit on the beach at Sea Lanes (the western end of the Sea Lanes swimming pool) BN2 1BX.

WhAT ABOUT PARKING?

There is plenty of parking along Madeira Drive which has now been reopened for vehicle access.

There are plenty of places to lock your bike nearby and also local BTN Bike Share sites.

What should I bring?

For swim sessions we advise you wear a wetsuit, unless you are an experienced skins swimmer. The sea will get up to around 18 degrees at its warmest in late summer. Everyone must wear a swim hat and we can provide these if you don’t have your own.

For dryland training, you’ll need to wear appropriate gym kit and please bring your own water.

For all sea based sessions, we advise you to bring warm clothes and a hat to change into after your swim.

Can I leave my kit anywhere?

You can leave your kit in the Ocean Set storage unit which will be locked during the session.

How big are the class sizes?

Depending on the class usually 6, 8 or 10 people.

What level of fitness do I need to be?

All levels are welcome; our aim is to get you as fit as you want to be. If you want to discuss this in more detail, please contact us to arrange a quick call.

What about insurance?

All of our coaches are insured with the required governing body. Those working with under-18s are DBS checked and have had safeguarding training.

What happens if the weather is bad?

For sea swims; if the sea is too rough to swim in or lightning is forecast then we’ll do a land-based alternative.

Land-based classes will take place in all conditions - we’ll just train a bit harder!

How do I cancel a booking?

If you need to cancel a booking please do so 24 hours in advance of the session. Refunds can’t be given with less than 24 hours’ notice.

  • Click on the green ‘View Booking’ button in your booking confirmation email.

  • Select ‘Ticket Options’ on the form to transfer or cancel your booking.
